Brigitte enjoys a good, old-fashioned game of road hockey with the neighbourhood kids, complete with cries of, “Car!” mad scrambles in front of the net, and broken windows. Broken windows? Uh oh. Brigitte needs to replace her living room bay window and decides to do the dining room window too. Over the years, Brigitte has learned that the only way to go when disposing of construction materials is to bring in a small disposal bin. This is efficient and perfect for her, but not so attractive from her priggish neighbour’s perspective. Brigitte decides that if she can’t get rid of it, she can disguise it. She creates a canvas “bin cozy” with a painting of shrubbery and a white picket fence. It’s an idea the works so well that it catches on in the neighbourhood. Game on!
