Brigitte has always wanted an architectural drawing of her house, “Samuel.” It’s an idea that has Brigitte pondering life and art and the emotional reactions to creative ventures. It’s an idea that has Brigitte blinded by the white siding on her house. She decides two things. First, she needs to take a drawing class and second, Samuel is due for a little “nip and tuck.” That is, new siding. Brigitte does drawing classes by night and works with Anthony installing the new cement board siding by day. This leads Brigitte to two startling discoveries about Anthony. First, he’s never done siding before. This is the first time he doesn’t know how to do something! Second, when Brigitte attends her class on drawing the human form, she sees a lot more of Anthony than she intended.
