The wrought iron chef. If you don’t have a lot of time to cook up a snack for your company, here’s a solution from Brigitte’s kitchen:
Grilled Asparagus
- Spread full spears of asparagus on a cookie sheet.
- Coat with olive oil. Shake the cookie sheet to further coat the asparagus with the oil.
- Pour some balsamic vinegar over the asparagus.
- Top with ground pepper.
- Add salt to taste.
- Grill for 3-5 minutes and remove from heat.
- Serve and chow down!
Grilled Pizza
- Make your own pizza crust or purchase one from the store that has already been a little cooked.
- Brush olive oil on one side of the crust (the side you will put the toppings on). Grill this side for five minutes. This will keep the pizza from becoming soggy when you grill the whole thing.
- Remove it from the grill when it’s light brown.
- Brush olive oil on the bottom (ungrilled) side of the crust.
- Flip the crust over so you can place your toppings on the browned side. Spread red pesto on the crust.
- Add a layer of red onions, slices of grape tomatoes, and goat cheese.
- Grill for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from the grill and sprinkle fresh, chopped basil on top.
- Slice and serve to the hungry masses.
