Farewell Friends...

It's been fun couple of years, but it's time to move on. Let's keep in touch, shall we?

Dear fans,

It is truly hard to believe that we have completed 52 episodes of Me, My House and I. It feels like only a few days ago that I was meeting Brigitte for the first time. (Who was this girl who traveled around the world getting fee massages - now that's what I call a good gig). Well I soon discovered that she was an incredibly smart, talented and a very funny lady. We hit it off and the fun began.

First thing I had to do was find a house and fast - I was the real estate agents best buyer ever: "I want a house that is in really bad shape…you know…doors falling off, rotting porches, broken fences - the whole nine yards.” He could not have been more excited. I was even more excited when we found 178 Avon Lane. It was a complete mess... so it was perfect!

We went to work and, before you know it, it’s 4 seasons later and we've fixed just about everything we can. When we started talking about installing gold plated toilet seats, we knew we'd reached our limit. The only sensible thing to do was to have Brigitte move and move on. So the house was put up for sale (on TV anyway) and Brigitte said good-bye to Samuel forever.

It was a very sad day when we shot the last few scenes of Brigitte walking through the empty house and finally saying good-bye to Anthony. I'm pretty sure that Brigitte was crying real tears that day... so what you see on that episode is as real as it can get. I was pretty choked up as well, but because my job was not done until I finished editing and putting the final touches of music on the show, I reserved my tears for the lonely place we call the edit suite. I think David - our magnificent composer and audio post production editor - was a little weirded out when he turned around as the credits rolled to see a tear in my eye. It wasn't just the fact that I was watching the final scene unfold in front of me. It was the complete and total realization that we were truly done! There was absolutely nothing left to do on the series and it was now really over.

Thanks for being such great fans... we love hearing from you all so keep sending in your e-mails to let us know what you think.

Cheers,

Friends,

Thank you for watching the ongoing insanity that was MMHI. As this is our final season, I am sad to have to say good-bye to that sweet little house and the joy of working and changing everything inside its 100-year-old walls.

Having said that, I won't miss the plaster dust or the broken nails.

Thanks for everything. It has been amazing.

Dear fans,

I want to say thank you to everyone who watched and supported the show over these past three years. It has been great fun for me. From my first step through the front door to watching Brigitte lock up the house for the last time, it has been an amazing experience I will never forget. Unfortunately, there is nothing left to renovate on Samuel and so, after four seasons, the show must come to an end and all of us must move on.

I’m going to miss Brigitte, Torchy, Samuel and all of the incredible people who devoted their time, services, expertise and encouragement to us throughout the series. And the biggest thank you again to you the fans for all your support, letters, and comments. Keep them coming!

Yours truly,

Anthony Sayers
