Too sweet to be sour. Ah…lemonade! What could be more cool and refreshing on a hot summer’s day? Here it is; Grandma Angela’s Secret Lemonade Recipe!
- Fill a pitcher half way with water.
- Squeeze a lot of lemons. Add the lemon juice to the water.
- Add as much white or brown sugar as you like. This is entirely a matter of personal preference and tolerance. Brigitte likes to use brown sugar because she just always has to be different. She also likes to use a lot of it because she likes to be hyperactive.
- Add ice.
- Add the “secret” ingredient…. Well, if we told you, it wouldn't be a secret…. Oh all right… It's soda water!
- If you have some fresh flowers lying around the garden, cut off the top and add them to the pitcher. It will make a nice presentation. Dirt will not, so make sure the flowers are clean and bug-free.
- Pour and enjoy! Brigitte likes to freeze her glasses and rim them with sugar for that extra Martha Stewart-y touch.
